Disney World!

I've been delaying this post because i don't know where to start! We got back on Saturday after a wonderful week in Disney World. We all had the best time and we're so glad we decided to go. We were reluctant becasue we didn't know if kaitlyn was old enough for everything..if we would get bored after a day or two since there may be only a few things for her to do...We were wrong. It was wonderful. We got to meet all the characters...a few times, and her expression was priceless every time. Her reaction to the princesses (Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty) was my favorite. We saw them twice, but the second time we saw them, we must have caught them right before break or something becasue we were the last allowed in the room, which meant nobody was behind us...She was full of conversation with each of them. Cinderella asked her waht her favorite part was and she said "You". It couldn't have been a better answer if we had rehearsed it. Katie told her that she saw her castle and "I even got to walk through it" and cinderella said she would make sure she told the prince that she had stopped by. Cinderella asked if it was as big as her castle at home..Katie said "I don't have a castle....but I have a house!!" and was so proud of herself. It was just so cute. She spent a while then talking to Belle and Sleeping beauty too and gave them hugs and we were walking out and she had already said goodbye individually...but she just bursts out in an excited shout "bye princesses!!!" they all laughed and made her feel good. It was really cute.
Katie and her pal Cindy...
Here Katie is deep in conversation with Belle..I love that Cinderella is looking on...
Katie and Sleeping Beauty are sharing some stories too!
Katie made some great strides while we were there. Well, in addition to sleeping in a queen size bed all by herself in her own room, I felt like she grew up a little more. Which sounds silly, becasue Spencer and I were definitly kids the whole week we were there! But when we first arrived, Katie wouldn't go near the characters herself. I had to be holding her and even then, she would cringe closer and closer as we got closer to them...By the middle of Monday she had decided she would go up to them and give them a hug by herself and then we could join her for a picture...by Tuesday it didn't matter if we were there or not!
Here we all are with her pal "Jimmy The Cricket"
and she didn't need us anymore, she gave Piglet a BIG hug...

She also learned to love fountains and sprinklers. Up until this point she had been terribly afraid of sprinklers and even the mention of them. By then end of the week she was taking her shoes off and laying in all the water areas in the parks. It was just great to see her come into herself more and enjoy herself.
Ok, I have LOTS of pictures and there is no way to even just put the really good ones on here, so i'm going to have to be selective....

We were waiting for the parade to begin and she really wanted to get involved in some of the games they had going on to entertain the children while we waited...but she chickened out and was running back to us.
